My name is Odilia and my friends call me Ody. I am 18 years old and I have lived at Prince of Peace Home for Girls for 4 years because my family does not have sufficient resources to pay for me to attend school.
The trip to the US has been a very special blessing and I am very thankful to God for this opportunity. The experience to go up in an airplane was incredible and the tour yesterday of Disney World with my sisters was a beautiful dream come true. It was a wonderful time. The games at Disney were fantastic. I was a little afraid to do some of the rides, but it was all wonderful.
One experience that I had at Disney World was on the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. I did not want to do any rides at Disney World because I don't like things that go around and around. But, I didn't realize that we were entering this ride. Instead I thought it was a regular train. By the time I realized that it was a roller coaster ride, it was too late to get off. I went in a car with Miss Kay and I was very afraid so I hugged her tightly and this gave me confidence and I was brave enough to finish the ride. It was very scary. After the ride, I decided that I liked it and would do it again next time. I am glad Miss Kay stayed with me and helped me.
Today we visited the Holy Land Exhibit that had a great impact on my life. The gardens there were beautiful and the people were very friendly. We saw many different presentations about the life of Christ and I enjoyed them very much. I give thanks to God for this opportunity and for the people who helped make it possible especially Paul and Lana Sanders and Dr. Jim and Kay Hines.
