November 15th by Reina Elizabeth

November 15 2009

Hello, my name is Reina Elizabeth (I am on the left in the photo, Lisdenia on the right) and I am 18 years old and have lived at Prince of Peace for 6 years. This year I finished high school and I am very thankful to the Lord for all of the blessings He has given me especially the dream to come to the United States. To come here is a dream that has now become a reality in my life.

Today is Sunday and I thank God that He is able to give me His grace to see the light and that I had a table of food waiting for me when I awoke this morning. After breakfast, we went to the church of Pastor Sam and Beverly Glenn to receive a wonderful service. My sisters and I sang several songs and I was grateful to the Lord for bringing so many people and that we could have such a special time together.

Later, we went to lunch at a restaurant where the food was very good. Afterward, we returned to the church for a reception where we were able to see other people who have known us in the past or have visited Prince of Peace and who live in this area of Kentucky.

Afterward we returned to the houses of the people with whom we were staying and Lisdenia and I went to a different restaurant. It was a great day.

I was asked to write about the thing that has most surprised me about America and I would say that it is the attitude of the people here. Seeing these people and how much they love us has helped me to know for sure that God exists and that He is able to use people to work through to help us. If He can do this then I can have more and more faith that he can work in my life as He wants. Learning this has made me very happy. Also, if these people help me, then I am able to help other people that need help too. This touched me heart very much because I never thought this before. This question surprised me a lot.

In reality it is God working in the people and the people working with us and us learning to help other people. That is what I am learning.

To all that read this, I want to say with all of my heart “thank you very much”. I love all of ou.
